PATNA/ARARIA: Union home minister Amit Shah set on Saturday an ambitious target of winning over 160 of total 243 seats in upcoming Bihar assembly elections, and urged BJP workers to visit every household and publicise NDA govt’s achievements.Addressing a gathering of party workers from 10 Seemanchal districts at Forbesganj in Araria on the second day of his Bihar visit, Shah attacked RJD-Congress combine, claiming their campaigns aimed to protect voting rights of infiltrators.”BJP will kick out each and every infiltrator from the state and the country,” he asserted, while insisting no bona fide Indian citizen’s name had been removed in the special intensive revision of Bihar electoral rolls.Boosting the morale of party workers, Shah addressed them as “malik” and said: “Unlike other parties, in BJP, it’s the workers who win elections for the party.” He said in last elections, NDA was number one in the districts of Seemanchal and Kosi regions, except in Kishanganj, and urged workers to “conquer” the zone in 2025.Shah highlighted development and welfare initiatives of central and state govts, and reminded people how opposition’s tenure was marked by scams and loot of public money. “When (RJD chief) Lalu (Prasad) was Bihar CM, per capita income was Rs 8,000. Now it has increased to Rs 68,000. Congress (at Centre) conducted scams of over Rs 12 lakh crore, while Lalu and co looted Bihar during their tenures. But, there has been no corruption charge against Modi in his 11 years at the helm due to transparency in governance,” he said.
