US President Donald Trump listed the India-Pak truce as one of the “wars he ended” during his tenure, claiming that his intervention stopped the countries from nuking each other. Appearing as a “special guest” during the latest White House press briefing, the US President went on to list the “unendable wars” he stopped during the first year of his second term.Briefing the press, he said, “I ended eight unendable wars in 10 months, these were unendable wars… Pakistan and India, they were really going at it, eight planes shot down. They were going nuclear in my opinion.”

Further mentioning the Pakistani Prime Minister, he said, “The prime minister of Pakistan was here, and he said President Trump saved 10 million people and maybe much more than that. They are both nuclear countries.”He also listed out other wars between Thailand and Cambodia, Kosovo and Serbia and Congo and Rwanda.Trump has made repeated claims of brokering a truce between India and Pakistan during the military escalation during Operation Sindoor, a claim India has repeatedly denied. The tensions were triggered after the April 2025 Pahalgam attack.Speaking at the briefing that lasted over 105 minutes, he claimed the credit for brokering peace between the two neighbouring countries twice. When asked about the Nobel Peace Prize, and how his winning that would improve the lives of average American he held onto his claims of saving millions of lives. He said, “If you add up the numbers, just… if you look at any one of those wars, you’re talking about millions of people. You multiply it eight times. But when you look at India and Pakistan, that could have been 10, 15, 20 million people. It could have been more than that. So I saved millions of people. So that to me is the big thing.”The incumbent US President completed one year of his second tenure in the Oval Office on Tuesday. On the occasion of the same, the White House released a thorough statement titled ‘365 WINS IN 365 DAYS: President Trump’s Return Marks New Era of Success, Prosperity’.The exhaustive statement went on to list out the “truly transformative results” as it read, “One year ago today, President Donald J. Trump returned to office with a resounding mandate to restore prosperity, secure the border, rebuild American strength, and put the American people first. In just 365 days, President Trump has delivered truly transformative results with the most accomplished first year of any presidential term in modern history.”
