KOLHAPUR: An 11-year-old boy saved his nine-year-old sister from the jaws of a leopard in Upwale village in Maharashtra’s Sangli district late Wednesday. The girl sustained minor injuries in the attack and was taken to Shirala SDH, reports Rahul Gayakwad. Foresters said around 8.30pm, Shivam and Swaranjali were strolling in front of their house after dinner, when a leopard pounced on Swaranjali and caught her by the neck. As the animal began dragging her away, Shivam grabbed onto his sister’s legs and held on with all his might. Meanwhile, their mother raised an alarm. As villagers rushed to help, the feline fled.
