‘Zootopia 2’ OTT release: Here’s when and where you can stream the movie online

The long-awaited ‘Zootopia 2’, the sequel to the 2016 hit animation film, is finally coming to streaming platform allowing fans to experience the adventures of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from the comfort of their own homes. After smashing box office records worldwide, the film arrives just in time for family viewing marathons.

‘Zootopia 2’: OTT Premiere Details

It will be streaming Disney+ worldwide on March 11, 2026, with a teaser encouraging fans to “wake up” for their return. In India, it will be available on Hotstar from March 13, with a local dub in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu to entertain.

‘Zootopia 2’ roared into theaters on November 26, 2025, directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, the team behind the original. It immediately became the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, earning $1.861 billion worldwide and coming in as the second-highest-grossing movie in 2025, as reported by The Mint. It received critical acclaim for its witty humor, relevant content dealing with prejudice, and the stunning animation, winning the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Feature Film. Nominations followed for the Oscars and other honors, cementing its status as a cultural phenomenon.

‘Zootopia 2’: Story and stars

The plot picks up with seasoned ZPD partners Judy Hopps, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin, and Nick Wilde, brought to life by Jason Bateman. They investigate a conspiracy involving reptiles who were forced out of their district during the expansion of Zootopia, revealing a case of corruption related to a powerful lynx family. New voices are added to the fun, including Ke Huy Quan, Quinta Brunson, and Shakira reprising her role as pop star Gazelle with a new song written by Ed Sheeran. Familiar faces like Idris Elba as Chief Bogo and Jenny Slate as Bellwether add continuity to the mammal metropolis.
