Yash calls Ramayana India’s dream project, says Ranbir Kapoor ‘has surrendered himself’ to Lord Ram; praises Sai Pallavi as a ‘flawless actor’

The promotional campaign for Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited epic Ramayana began on a grand note in New Delhi on Saturday, with actor Yash saying the film is driven by a shared vision rather than individual stardom. Speaking at the Ramayana: Pratham Sankalp event at Bharat Mandapam, the actor said the entire cast and crew had come together with one mission—to take the story of Lord Ram to audiences across the world. The event was attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, among others.

Yash calls Ramayana India’s dream project

Greeting the audience in several Indian languages before switching to Hindi, Yash thanked producer Namit Malhotra for believing in a project of such massive scale and for trusting him with the role of Ravana.”I am genuinely happy to be part of this wonderful project,” Yash said. “The credit for bringing it to this stage belongs to Namit Malhotra. I am grateful to him for giving me the opportunity to play such a significant character.”Calling Ramayana “India’s dream,” Yash said the film is much bigger than any one actor.”We have all come together with one vision and one conviction: to take this story to a global platform,” he said. “Everyone has kept their individual interests aside. There is only one shared interest, which is to tell the story of Prabhu Shri Ram to audiences around the world and celebrate him in our own country.”He added that mounting a film of this scale required immense courage and credited Malhotra for making it possible.

Yash praises director Nitesh Tiwari

The KGF star also thanked director Nitesh Tiwari for guiding him through the complexities of playing Ravana.”Nitesh sir, thank you for guiding me, understanding what the character required, answering my questions and helping me do this,” he said.Although Yash did not reveal details about his interpretation of Ravana, he spoke about the trust he shared with the filmmaker throughout the process.Apart from acting in the film, Yash is also associated with Ramayana as a producer through his banner, Monster Mind Creations, which has partnered with Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios.

‘Ranbir has surrendered himself to Lord Ram’

Yash had high praise for his co-stars, especially Ranbir Kapoor, who essays the role of Lord Ram.”Ranbir has been phenomenal,” he said. “I think the whole of India will understand how deeply he has surrendered to this role and see the magic he has created.”Speaking about Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita, Yash described her as a “flawless actor.””When you see her perform, her eyes say everything,” he said.He also praised veteran actor Shobana, saying she brought grace and dignity to her role, and predicted that Ravie Dubey, who plays Lakshman, would emerge as one of the film’s biggest surprises.”He will be a surprise package in this movie,” Yash said, adding that audiences could expect several memorable performances across the ensemble cast.
