Uday Chopra’s acting journey

The late Yash Chopra was one of the biggest filmmakers of Hindi cinema. Everyone would expect that his son, Uday Chopra, would follow in his footsteps and achieve similar on-screen fame. Uday’s acting journey began with the 2000 film ‘Mohabbatein’, a major hit produced by his family’s banner, Yash Raj Films (YRF).While the film was a blockbuster and Uday gained some recognition, his next movies as a lead didn’t do well at the box office. Eventually, the actor started doing supporting roles, most notably as Ali in the massively popular ‘Dhoom’ film franchise. Despite the love his character received, it was not enough to establish him as a leading star.

From actor to businessman

After several box office duds, Uday decided to give up on acting. He transitioned to working behind the scenes at his production house, the company founded by his father and now led by his brother, Aditya Chopra. As per the India.com report, Uday has contributed massively as CEO of the production company’s international department. As per the report, the company’s net worth is around Rs 10000 crore. However, it has never been confirmed through any official channel. Also, note that various websites show different net worth numbers. While this specific figure is a widely cited number and not his personal wealth, it represents the colossal value of the company he helps manage. Go to Source
