Who is Suraj Nambiar? Everything about Mouni Roy's husband as divorce rumours take over the internet

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar are facing divorce rumours after fans noticed Mouni unfollowed him on social media. Suraj is a Bengaluru-born businessman and investment banker based in Dubai. The couple married in January 2022 in Goa and have launched two business ventures together including a restaurant called Badmaash.

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar got married in 2022, with the actress having kept their relationship completely private before finally making it official with the wedding. Now, the couple has found themselves at the center of swirling divorce rumors after eagle-eyed internet users noticed that Mouni had unfollowed Suraj on social media. Neither Mouni nor Suraj has come forward to address the speculation, but that has done little to stop netizens from drawing their own conclusions. Adding fuel to the fire, reports suggest that Mouni’s close friend and actress Disha Patani has also unfollowed Suraj on Instagram, though it could not be confirmed whether she was following him before the rumors first emerged. As for Mouni, while she has not posted any new pictures with her husband, she has also not taken down their wedding photos, leaving fans confused and curious about what is really going on.

All about Suraj Nambia – Mouni Roy’s low-profile husband

Suraj Nambiar has largely stayed away from the public eye, and unlike his wife, he has no connection to the entertainment industry. Originally from Bengaluru, Suraj is a businessman and investment banker who was based in Dubai before his marriage to Mouni. Reports suggest that he pursued financial and managerial accounting at the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science. After completing his education, he is said to have stepped into his father’s business in Dubai, where he built his professional life before the two got married.

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar’s business ventures together

In February 2022, Suraj and Mouni launched Ultimate Gurus, a global Ed-Tech platform. The following year, in 2023, the duo expanded their entrepreneurial journey by opening Badmaash, a high-end restaurant in Mumbai, further cementing their presence in the business space.

How Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar met and got married

Mouni, who was once rumoured to be in a relationship with her Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji, had kept her romance with Suraj completely out of the public eye. According to reports, the two first crossed paths through common friends on New Year’s Eve in Dubai back in 2019. After dating for about two years, Mouni took a significant step by introducing Suraj to his parents at actress Mandira Bedi’s home. The couple eventually tied the knot in January 2022 in a beautiful ceremony in Goa, following both Bengali and Malayali rituals. The wedding was an intimate affair, with only family members and a close circle of friends invited to be part of the celebrations.

Mouni Roy’s upcoming projects

On the work front, Mouni has a packed lineup of exciting projects ahead. She will be seen in David Dhawan’s upcoming romantic comedy ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, alongside Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, which is set to hit theatres on June 5. Reports suggest she plays an important role in the film, portions of which were shot in the UK. She is also set to return for ‘Brahmastra’ Part Two, though the film is yet to go on floors. Additionally, Mouni is headlining Madhur Bhandarkar’s next directorial venture, ‘The Wives’, which has already wrapped its shoot and is currently in post-production. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Sonali Kulkarni, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhatt, Saurabh Sachdeva, Arjan Bajwa and Freddy Daruvala. Go to Source
