The trailer for ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ reignited nostalgia for 90s kids by featuring the iconic indie pop hit ‘Aari Aari’ by Danish duo Bombay Rockers. Originally released in 2003, the song, along with their hit ‘Rock Tha Party’, achieved global success. A revamped ‘Aari Aari’ now graces the film, bringing the band back into the spotlight. After the makers of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ dropped the trailer for the film, the internet went berserk, especially the 90s kids. Why, you may ask? The reason was that they got to listen to one of their favorite indie pop songs, ‘Aari Aari’ by ‘Bombay Rockers’, in the trailer. The three-minute, 25-second glimpse brought glory back to the song. All about the ‘Bombay Rockers’ band

The makers of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ released the first song from the film, the revised version of ‘Aari Aari’, on the internet. ‘Bombay Rockers’ released the original song in 2003 as part of their debut album titled ‘Introducing’. The band consisted of the duo Navtej Singh Rehal and Thomas Sardorf. There was a massive wave of good indie pop music in the early 2000s, and ‘Aari Aari’ became a chart topper at that time.’Bombay Rockers’ is a Danish music duo popular in India and across the globe. Their debut album, ‘Introducing’, has gone five times Platinum, with sales of over 100,000 records. The band was formed after Navtej Singh Rehal met Thomas Sardorf and Janus Barnewitz of the production team WCA in 2003.After jamming together for some time, they formed a band with Navtej (Naf) providing the Punjabi and Hindi vocals, while Thomas worked on the English lyrics. Janus handled the music production.’Aari Aari’ went on to receive extensive airplay in Denmark. Their next single, ‘Rock Tha Party’, also became a massive international hit. Reportedly, their debut album was released across 31 countries, making them global artists.The track ‘Rock Tha Party’ was also featured in the John Abraham starrer ‘Rocky Handsome’, directed by Nishikant Kamat. Meanwhile, another version of the song ‘Aari Aari’ was incorporated in the movie ‘Satellite Shankar’, starring Sooraj Pancholi.They made a comeback when the duo recently dropped a post about ‘Aari Aari’ from ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ on their official Instagram page. Their last album, ‘Rock and Dhol’, was released in the year 2011.

The revised version of ‘Aari Aari’ from ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ was composed by Shashwat Sachdev. Navtej Singh Rehal of ‘Bombay Rockers’, along with Shashwat, Khan Saab, Jasmine Sandlas, and Sudhir Yaduvanshi, provided vocals for the new track. Rebel and Token penned and crooned the rap portions of the song. The lyrics credit goes to Irshad Kamil and ‘Bombay Rockers’.
