When three MINOR Salman Khan fans travelled hundreds of kilometres

When three MINOR Salman Khan fans travelled hundreds of kilometres from Delhi hoping to meet their idol

Over the years, Salman Khan’s stardom has inspired countless stories of fan devotion. While admirers often wait outside his residence or travel long distances to catch a glimpse of the actor, one incident from the past stood out for its sheer determination and innocence. In a surprising turn of events, three schoolboys from Delhi went missing after secretly leaving home with one goal in mind: meeting the superstar they admired on screen in films such as ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Sultan’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’, and ‘Tere Naam’. The incident triggered an extensive police search that lasted several days.

The secret plan to reach Salman Khan

As stated by Hindustan Times, reports from the time suggest that the boys, aged 13, 11, and nine, had connected online with a man named Wahid from Maharashtra through a gaming platform. The children allegedly believed Wahid could help arrange a meeting with Salman Khan after he claimed to have met the actor in the past. Excited by the possibility, the trio reportedly decided to leave Delhi without informing their families.Their initial destination was Jalna in Maharashtra, from where they hoped to continue their journey towards Mumbai and fulfil their dream of meeting the Bollywood star.As panic spread among family members following their disappearance, investigators began searching for clues. During the probe, police reportedly recovered a handwritten note from one of the boys’ homes. The note mentioned their intention to travel to Maharashtra and meet a person named Wahid. The discovery provided authorities with their first major lead.Further investigation, including CCTV footage from the Sadar Bazar area, showed the children heading towards Ajmeri Gate. This led officers to suspect they had boarded a train departing from New Delhi Railway Station.

The search operation intensifies

After examining train schedules and possible routes, police concluded that the boys may have boarded the Sachkhand Express heading towards Maharashtra.Teams were subsequently deployed across multiple locations, while Delhi Police coordinated with railway authorities and local police units in Maharashtra. However, by the time officers reached Wahid’s residence in Jalna, the boys had already altered their plans.

Safe return after four days

Reports suggested that once Wahid became aware that police and family members were actively searching for the children, he withdrew from the arrangement. The boys eventually got off at a railway station in Nashik instead of continuing further. Authorities later traced their whereabouts through brief activity on one of their mobile phones and successfully located them. After four anxious days, the children were found safe, bringing a dramatic end to a story that highlighted the extraordinary lengths some fans are willing to go for a chance to meet their favourite star.
