When SRK asked reporter to STAND after he said, ‘Mazakbaazi…’

When Shah Rukh Khan asked reporter to STAND UP after latter said, 'Mazakbaazi bohot hogayi' during press conference of his film

Shah Rukh Khan is known for his respectful and generous nature in the industry. However, there was a time when he was on the verge of losing his cool at a press conference for his film ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

When Shah Rukh Khan asked the reporter to stand up

In a viral video that has resurfaced on the internet, a reporter can be heard saying, “Shah Rukh, mazakbaazi bohot hogayi, film ke baare me thodasa bataiye, kuch likhne ke liye toh chahiye, channels ke liye kaafi kuch hogaya hai (Shah Rukh, stop joking around, and tell something about the film. There should be content to write at least; channels have got their bits).”Shah Rukh was visibly shocked with the way the question was asked. But he quickly got back in the game.Khan told the reporter to ask the question and tried to spot him in the media. Shah Rukh Khan said, “Kaha ho kaha pe? Aap sawal puchiye, khade rahiye (Where are you? Ask the question, stand up).” The reporter then asked what type of film it is, to which Khan quickly answered, “Romantic film hai. Kahani uski yeh hai ki… Pyaar mohabbat ki kahani jisey kehte hai… love story (It’s a romantic movie, love story).” However, the reporter didn’t stop there and said, “Love story toh hai, kaisi love story? Mature love story hai? (Yes, I got that it’s a love story, but of what kind? Is it a mature love story?)” Khan answered, “It’s a mature love story. It got the soul of a classic love story, with the language of today.”

Here’s how Shah Rukh Khan concluded the entire episode

When the reporter tried to sit, Khan again asked him to keep standing while asking the question, and he would answer them “seriously.” He said, “Khade rahiye, sawal puchte rahiye, batata hu seriously.”Concluding his answer, Shah Rukh said, “Normally what we do is when we make a film, we expect people to go and see it on a Friday and enjoy it. So, jab aapko baki kahani jaanni hogi, toh aap usko dekh le (So, if you want to know the rest of the story, watch it in theatres).” SRK went on to say, “Next question, ask me more.”
