Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh gave fans a Diwali gift they will never forget. The star couple on Tuesday, unveiled the photos of their daughter Dua for the first time.The actor-couple shared the pictures on their respective social media handles and wished the fans, “Heartfelt wishes of Diwali.”
Fans swoon over Dua’s photos
The pictures of the trio saw Dua and Deepika in matching red kurtas while Ranveer, 40, wore an all white outfit. Interestingly, after the photos were posted online, netizens went into overdrive, debating whether little Dua looked more like her mom, Deepika or if she looked like dad Ranveer.
Ranveer’s wish comes true
While the photos left the internet split, a throwback video of Ranveer openly expressing his dream of having a child that looks just like Deepika.During an episode of his 2021 quiz show The Big Picture, the hunk shared a lighthearted moment with a contestant, saying, “Jaisa ki aap log jaante hai meri shaadi ho gayi hai aur ab 2-3 saal me bacche bhi honge. Bhaisaab, aapki bhabhi (Deepika) itni cute baby thi na. Main to roz uski baby photos dekhta hoon aur kehta hoon, ‘Ek aisi de de mujhe toh bas meri life set ho jaye.’ Main shortlist kar raha hoon names(As you know, I’m married now and may have kids in the next 2-3 years. Your sister-in-law Deepika was such a cute baby. I see her baby photos every day and tell her, ‘Give me a baby like this and my life will be set.’ I’m already shortlisting names).”
Ranveer and Deepika’s private life
Ranveer and Deepika tied the knot in a private ceremony at Italy’s Lake Como in 2018, after a long six-year relationship. The couple, chose to keep their baby girl’s face hidden from the paparazzi over over a year, until finally releasing her photos online on the occasion of Diwali.On the work front, Ranveer is all set for the release of his movie ‘Dhurandhar’, while Deepika is currently shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’.
