Jackie Shroff, fondly known as Bollywood’s ultimate “bindaas” star, carried a rare charisma that defined the 1980s and 1990s. With rugged looks, an effortless style, and an unfiltered personality, he earned the moniker “Sexy Shroff.” Whether it was action-packed roles or sensitive portrayals, Jackie had an edge that made him unforgettable. Yet, despite his macho image, there were moments on screen that made even him uncomfortable.
Jackie confessed, “Brandy’s shots helped me”
In a candid old interview shared on Reddit, Jackie revealed that he felt awkward while filming kissing scenes with his leading ladies. The actor admitted that he had been embarrassed to kiss Madhuri Dixit in ‘Vardi’ and Juhi Chawla in ‘Aaina.’ Sharing how he overcame the hesitation, he said, “I’ve kissed Madhuri Dixit in ‘Vardi’ and Juhi Chawla in ‘Aaina,’ but I felt embarrassed about it. Brandy’s shots helped me kiss other women on screen. I was called Sexy Shroff and considered macho, but I shied away from doing kissing scenes.”
The actor further confessed that he had soft spots for some of his co-stars, including Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, and Dimple Kapadia. Jackie admitted having innocent crushes on them but clarified that those feelings never went beyond admiration.
