Shah Rukh Khan, the global icon and superstar of Bollywood. He started his acting career on television, then made his big screen debut with ‘Deewana’ in 1992. Besides being known as ‘King Khan,’ he is also known as a family man. Before entering the movie industry, he met the love of his life, Gauri Khan. Married in October 1991, they are a most adored couple, and the birth of their first child, Aryan, is one of the most heartwarming chapters in their story.‘Nothing like the films : SRK and Gauri recall the deliveryDuring a chat with Simi Garewal, Gauri revealed that Shah Rukh tried very hard to be involved during her pregnancy. SRK humorously admitted, “I didn’t know how a woman reacts when she goes into labor… nothing like how they show in films.” He had heard about breathing with your partner, but Gauri laughed that she wasn’t breathing; she was screaming. Gauri shared, “I hardly had any labour pain because I had a Caesarean.”Shah Rukh chimed in, recalling he continued breathing techniques anyway, saying, “I didn’t know that it didn’t matter with a Caesarean. I was still breathing like that.” It was real, raw, and funny, a young couple learning as they went. ‘Let us do our work’: SRK almost helps deliver AryanGauri jokingly remembered that he was almost ready to pull the baby out himself. “He was nearly pulling the baby out. The doctors were like, ‘Let us do our work.’” SRK added, “I went in with my mask and everything and took the baby out… nature’s colours… it’s not at all gruesome.” He fondly described the moment Aryan arrived, saying, “His head came out first… he started crying… ‘It’s a boy!’” And in classic SRK style, he laughed, “I wasn’t as close to him at the time, I had known her longer.”

On the work front

Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘King’ is reportedly set to release in 2026. Suhana Khan, daughter of SRK, is also going to make her theatrical debut with this. Along with her: Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, and Jackie Shroff.
