When Brad Pitt let 105-year-old neighbour live rent-free in his house

When ‘F1’ star Brad Pitt let his neighbour live rent-free in LA mansion; ‘He was very, very kind’

Over the years, famed actor Brad Pitt has gone viral for various reasons. However, one of the sweetest ones always comes down to how he let his 105-year-old neighbour live in his home without any rent. Here is a look at what happened.

Brad Pitt let his neighbour live in his home without paying rent

As per an old report from PEOPLE, the actor had bought the property in 1994 from Cassandra Peterson for USD 1.7 million. He had been looking to expand his estate, which also included the home his neighbour had been living in.In an interview, Peterson had revealed that the property had been surrounded by 22 houses, which also included the man’s home, where he had lived all of his life. After buying the area out, when Pitt got to know that John had been living there even after his wife passed away, he left him alone and told him to live there free of rent.Peterson stated that “He (Pitt) was very, very kind to the husband. His wife passed away, and the husband, John, lived there. I know that Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died.” She further joked that the agreement lasted quite a long time because John was lived a very long life. She further quipped that “I imagine Brad was thinking, ‘Well, you know, he can live there till he dies, which might be any minute now. ’” Brad Pitt later on sold the property for USD 40 million a few years ago.The Los Feliz mansion, which Peterson sold, was where Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt resided and raised their 6 children, up until their divorce.

The mansion was haunted as per Cassandra Peterson

Peterson had also detailed on why she ended up selling the house in the first place. She stated that she felt that the mansion was haunted; however, that was also the very reason that Pitt ended up purchasing the property. She stated that “we were just kind of warning him that a lot of weird things have been going on there in the house since we moved in. And he was very excited about that. He thought that was really cool.”
