'Welcome To The Jungle': Ravi Kishan lauds Akshay Kumar for entering Bhojpuri space; 'Ghis Ghis Ghis' trends online

Akshay Kumar’s latest song “Ghis Ghis Ghis” from the upcoming comedy entertainer ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ has been receiving strong attention online. The Bhojpuri-style track quickly became a talking point among fans after its release. According to reports, the song crossed 16 million views within just two days. The song is also being seen as Akshay Kumar’s entry into Bhojpuri-inspired musical space.

Ravi Kishan praises Akshay Kumar’s crossover

Bhojpuri cinema star Ravi Kishan recently reacted to the song and appreciated Akshay Kumar for embracing Bhojpuri culture in a mainstream Bollywood project. The actor spoke in an interview with Variety about how language barriers in music and cinema are slowly disappearing as audiences connect with content from different regions.Sharing his thoughts on the growing popularity of Bhojpuri entertainment, Ravi Kishan said in the interview, “I am so glad to see a Bollywood A-lister making that crossover. There is nothing like Hindi, Telugu or Bhojpuri music anymore. A hit is a hit, no matter what the language. There was a time when I was the only actor who believed there was hope for the Bhojpuri film industry. I worked hard in every department — sitting on scripts, music sittings, casting, etc. I used all my contacts in Bollywood, and convinced them to work at a discount. It wasn’t easy, but it happened.”

Akshay Kumar teams up with Akshara Singh

The song features Akshay Kumar alongside popular Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh. In the music video, Akshay appears in the role of a flamboyant Bhojpuri superstar. The track blends Bhojpuri musical elements with the comedy-driven atmosphere of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’. Fans online have been reacting positively to the collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Akshara Singh. The makers of Welcome To The Jungle recently launched the film’s promotional campaign ahead of its theatrical release.The film also features Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor.
