'Pride and Prejudice' Teaser: Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden bring the Regency romance to life as Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy

Move over Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi’s ‘Wuthering Heights’, a new English classic is returning to screens to make you swoon over Regency era romances. Jane Austen’s beloved classic returns in a faithful adaptation by Dolly Alderton, starring Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr Darcy’Pride and Prejudice’ teaser trailerNetflix released the first teaser of the upcoming production, said to be a six-part limited series, which promises to be a faithful adaptation of Austen’s 1813 novel. Directed Euros Lyn, the short teaser released online, sees Elizabeth sitting on a rooftop, starring into the horizon. She only seems to get teary-eyed when she hears the sound of a horse galloping her way and breaks into a smile when she spots a rugged Mr Darcy. The teaser also features glimpses of Elizabeth and Darcy’s moments together. ‘Pride and Prejudice’ castThe series will feature a starry cast including Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet, Rufus Sewell as Mr. Bennet, Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins, Daryl McCormack as Mr. Bingley, Louis Partridge as Mr. Wickham, Rhea Norwood as Lydia Bennet, Siena Kelly as Caroline Bingley and Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourg. Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery make their debuts as Mary Bennet and Kitty Bennet, respectively.Other cast members include Anjana Vasan, Sebastian Armesto, Rosie Cavaliero, Saffron Coomber, James Dryden, Justin Edwards, James Northcote, Eloise Webb and Isabella Sermon. ‘Pride and Prejudice’ release dateWhile there has been no news of a release date, the trailer confirms a 2026 release for the series.
