Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 has raced into the record books within its first extended weekend. The much anticipated action spectacle, which pairs Hrithik once again with Spy Universe’s high-octane storytelling, has stormed the box office over its opening four days.According to early estimates, the film has collected a staggering Rs 125.5 crore net from its Hindi version alone in just four days. The film opened to Rs 29 crore on Thursday, saw a massive jump to Rs 44.5 crore on Friday, before recording Rs 26 crore on Saturday and another Rs 26 crore on Sunday (early figures). Despite a noticeable dip after the Friday peak, the film’s overall extended weekend numbers reflect strong audience pull, particularly in metro circuits and premium multiplexes. With this, War 2 has officially overtaken Hrithik’s 2012 blockbuster Agneepath (Rs 118.2 crore) to claim the sixth spot in his list of highest-grossing Hindi films. Here’s how Hrithik Roshan’s Top 10 Hindi Net Collection films now stand:

War 2’s Friday surge when the Hindi collections jumped from Rs 29 crore on Day 1 to Rs 44.5 crore on Day 2was the turning point, ensuring the film stayed on track for a historic opening weekend. Though Saturday and Sunday saw drops, the film still maintained steady footfalls, especially in the Hindi belt. With weekdays ahead, all eyes are on how well the film can hold. If it sustains decently, War 2 has a clear path to crossing the Rs 200 crore mark in the long run, which would place it alongside Hrithik’s all-time top performers. For now, Hrithik Roshan fans can rejoice. War 2 has already entered his top 10 and, in the process, beaten the much-loved Agneepath, a re-adaptation of Amitabh Bachchan’s Agneepath directed by Mukul S Anand.
