Wamiqa Gabbi appears UNCOMFORTABLE after the host's awkward question on Mika Singh at Mumbai event

The trailer launch of the upcoming comedy-drama ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ in Mumbai on Saturday (May 2) turned into a talking point online for all the wrong reasons. Videos from the event went viral after the host made a series of uncomfortable remarks that left actresses Wamiqa Gabbi and Sara Ali Khan visibly uneasy on stage.

The ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ event, held at Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali, was attended by the film’s lead cast, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi. During what was meant to be a light-hearted interaction, the anchor made a joke targeting Wamiqa’s name.The host said on stage, “I’m very curious to know, ‘Aapke paida hone mein Mika paaji ka kya contribution tha?’ Kyunki aapka naam jisne bhi rakha hai usne bola – Waah-Mika (Wamiqa).

Kuch toh sur Mika paaji ne lagaye the (I’m very curious to know—what contribution did Mika paaji have in your birth? Because whoever named you must have said ‘Waah, Mika’ (Wamiqa). It feels like Mika paaji added some musical notes to it).” The clip quickly spread across social media, with users noting that Wamiqa gave an awkward smile and let out an uneasy laugh before choosing not to respond to the remark at all.A person commented, “She should’ve immediately shove, her heels off at him!” Another one added, “That’s not a journalist. It’s comedian Rajat Sood.” A comment read, “What kind of question is that? Journalists nowadays are asking nonsense.”

‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ is a sequel to the 2019 hit ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and follows Ayushmann Khurrana’s character Prajapati Pandey as he finds himself entangled in multiple relationships.
