Vedhika WARNS fans against scam calls and OTP requests

Vedhika WARNS fans against scam calls and OTP requests; reveals her mother’s phone number was hacked

Actress Vedhika has alerted her followers after revealing that her mother’s mobile phone number was hacked. The actress, who entered Tamil cinema with ‘Madrasi’ and later appeared in films such as ‘Muni’, ‘Malai Malai’, and ‘Kaalai’, shared the worrying update on her Instagram page. Her post immediately caught the attention of fans and social media users, especially at a time when online scams and cybercrime cases are increasing rapidly. The actress urged everyone to stay careful and avoid interacting with suspicious messages or calls linked to the hacked number.

Vedhika shares urgent warning message on Instagram

Sharing the issue publicly on Instagram story, Vedhika posted an urgent note that read: “Hi everyone. My mom’s phone number has been hacked/compromised. Please do not respond to any messages, calls, or requests coming from her number asking for money, OTPs, personal information, or any kind of help. Also, please do not click on any links sent from her number. Even if the message appears to be from her, ignore such messages completely and stay cautious.” She further added, “We’ll update everyone once the issue is resolved. Please spread the word to close family and friends. Stay safe.” Her statement quickly spread across social media platforms and created awareness among her followers.

Fans express concern as cybercrime cases continue to rise

Vedhika’s warning has once again highlighted the dangers of mobile hacking and digital fraud. Fans appreciated the actress for informing the public quickly before the hackers could misuse the number further. The same experiences were expressed by many users who used social media. Cybersecurity experts have repeatedly warned people not to share personal details or click on unknown links, even when messages appear to come from trusted contacts. The incident has now become a strong reminder about the importance of staying alert online.

Similar incidents involving celebrity families reported earlier

This is not the first hacking incident connected to celebrities or their families. A few months ago, a family member of a well-known Kannada actor reportedly faced a similar situation after hackers gained access to a mobile number and allegedly used it to ask people for money. Cases like these have increased fear among the public, especially because hackers often misuse trusted contacts to carry out scams. Vedhika’s latest warning has encouraged many people to double-check suspicious messages and avoid responding to unknown financial or personal requests online.
