Tom Francis joins list of actors being considered for the next James Bond film; gives audition for the role

Who will be the next James Bond is a question that almost everyone has had on their mind. While there have been a lot of predictions, no solid name has come forth. With the casting auditions still running for the popular and iconic role, many stars have tried their hand at it. This also includes actor Tom Francis, who is best known for his role in ‘Sunset Boulevard.’

Variety recently reported that famed actor Tom Francis has officially auditioned for the role of the next James Bond, which is currently under development under the banner of one of the most popular studios. Francis is the latest addition to the list of actors who have a high probability of ending up as the next James Bond.This list also includes Jacob Elordi from ‘Euphoria’ and ‘The Kissing Booth’, Aaron Taylor-Johnson from ‘Bullet Train’ and ‘28 Years Later’, Callum Turner from ‘The Boys In The Boat’ and ‘One Night Only’, as well as Cosmo Jarvis from ‘Shogun’ and ‘Lady Macbeth.’

James Bond is one of the most iconic and revered fictional characters that has been created over the years. Well known by his mantle of ‘007’, the James Bond franchise has featured some of the biggest names in the industry over the years.The character itself was first created by Ian Fleming in 1952. He first appeared in his 1953 novel ‘Casino Royale.’ American actor Barry Nelson was the first to play James Bond in the TV adaptation of the famed book in 1954. The film franchise began in 1962, with the film ‘Mr. No’. Since then, there have been around 27 films in the James Bond franchise.Names like Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig have all appeared as James Bond on multiple occasions in all of these films.At the time of writing there have been no confirmations about who will be selected to play the next James Bond.
