Director Lokesh Kanagaraj who made his acting debut recently with ‘DC’ is one of the most renowned filmmakers in Tamil cinema having worked with top stars including Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Vijay, Kamal Haasan and more. However, his journey has been an easy one. Let’s look at the time when he revealed that his wife Aishwarya took responsibility for supporting the family during his early days in the entertainment industry.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s wife Aishwarya supported his dream

In an old interview, the ‘Leo’ director spoke about how his wife Aishwarya supported him when he decided to enter filmmaking. According to a report by Indiaglitz, the filmmaker had quit his bank job, where he was reportedly earning Rs 70,000 per month. Lokesh wanted to follow his dream of making films even though he had a stable job. He decided to take the risk and start his journey as a filmmaker. After Lokesh quit his job, his wife Aishwarya took responsibility for supporting the family. She became the family’s breadwinner while Lokesh worked towards his dream. Aishwarya also returned to work just a few months after giving birth to their first daughter. She continued working and supported Lokesh while he tried to build his career in the film industry. Lokesh eventually became a well-known name in Tamil cinema. By then, Lokesh had established himself in the film industry and was able to take care of the family himself. This allowed Aishwarya to step away from work after supporting him during the difficult early years.Lokesh and Aishwarya reportedly got married in 2012 after being in a relationship for several years. The couple has two daughters, Adhvika Lokesh and Aarudhra Lokesh.

Lokesh Kanagaraj makes acting debut with ‘DC’

Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj has also entered acting with the recently released film ‘DC’. He shared the screen with Wamiqa Gabbi in the film, which was directed by Arun Matheswaran. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music.The film has received a positive response from audiences. According to Sacnilk estimates, DC earned Rs 4.10 crore net in India on its opening day. It recorded the collection across 3,504 shows, while its India gross collection stood at Rs 4.70 crore. Additionally, Lokesh Kanagaraj is also preparing for his next big project with Allu Arjun. The upcoming action drama is tentatively titled ‘AA23’.
