THIS actor from film family QUIT Bollywood, shifted to Canada, surprises fans with comeback in Aryan Khan's 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood'

This actor belonged to a filmy family; however, since his film debut, he failed to get a foothold in the industry. As the tabloids tell, his career didn’t witness the upward graph that he always wished for. Hence, he left India to become a real estate developer in Canada. The actor has now made a comeback to the world of showbiz with Aryan Khan’s ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’. Well, we are talking about none other than actor Rajat Bedi. Let’s learn more about his film journey.

Rajat Bedi’s initial journey

Rajat Bedi is the grandson of writer Rajendra Singh Bedi and son of director Narendra Bedi. However, even after being from the film family, he struggled to establish himself in the Hindi film industry.Bedi started his journey in films by assisting director Ramesh Sippy in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Zamana Deewana’. With that, he was all set to enter the world of cinema.

Big break with Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Koi Mil Gaya’

He became a popular face after he featured in the Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta starrer ‘Koi Mil Gaya’. Though the film became a huge hit, it didn’t help him establish himself in the industry.

Rajat Bedi spills the beans

In an interview with Mukesh Khann on his YouTube channel, Rajat recalled, “I had lots to do in that film, but my track with Preity Zinta was chopped off.” The actor went on to say that he was extremely disappointed, as after the film was released, he was “completely left out of the promotions.” He shared that as an actor, one has certain expectations and feels bad.His next film was the Zayed Khan-starrer ‘Rocky’. Again, this movie left him disappointed. Talking about the same, he stated that Khan’s father was editing the movie, and again the same thing was repeated. Rajat Bedi expressed that without strong backing, his chances of survival in Bollywood were less.

Debut film was delayed

He even revealed that his debut film was delayed, and he waited for over three years for its release, but sadly, the film never saw the light of day. He said, “Despite being from a renowned film family, I had no one backing me, as my father had passed away by the time I was entering films, so no one ever gave me sound advice.”

Starting fresh in Canada

Bedi told Khanna that he left for Canada because he was “disappointed” with his career. He said, “I was thinking, ‘What am I doing?’ I was so frustrated.”However, after becoming a real estate developer in the foreign country and making a lot of money, he ended up losing everything because he partnered with the wrong people.

His comeback story

Later, Rajat backed several Punjabi projects, including ‘Golgappe’. The film was inspired by the Hindi film ‘Hera Pheri’. He then also featured in a few Telugu movies. And now, he has landed a good role in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’. Go to Source
