The Taj Story jump by 165 % to collect Rs 45 lakh on Wednesday

Paresh Rawal’s ‘The Taj Story’ jump by 165 % to collect Rs 45 lakh on Wednesday

In a surprising twist, Paresh Rawal’s provocative film, ‘The Taj Story,’ has experienced an astonishing 165% increase in collections this Wednesday, raking in Rs 45 lakh. This impressive figure brings the film’s overall earnings to Rs 16.82 crore.Friday onwards the film will face stiff competition from Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s De De Pyaar De 2.

Paresh Rawal’s controversial film The Taj Story has witnessed an usual twist in the tale as its Wednesday collection saw a 165 % jump as it collected Rs 45 lakh which took the overall collection of the film to Rs 16.82 crore. The film had a steady box office run in the first week where it collected Rs 11 crore , even in the second weekend the film performed well which added Rs 4.8 crore to the kitty despite facing competition from films like Ayushmann Khurrana- Rashmika Mandanna’s Thamma, Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s Ek Deewane ke Deewaniyat and Prabhas’s Baahubali- The Epic. But on Monday as per Sacnilk, the film was able to earn just Rs 40 lakh and on Tuesday the collections dipped to just Rs 17 lakh- its lowest ever collection. But Wednesday’s collection of Rs 45 lakh has stunned everyone in the business. If the trend continues the film is expected to cross Rs 20 crore mark from its theatrical business. The film revolves around a court case filed by Paresh Rawal’s character questioning the authenticity and truth of Taj Mahal as who built it and what was the purpose behind it and is it actually a mausoleum , he plays a guide in the film. TAs per Paresh Rawal the film has been made on a budget of Rs 7-8 crore, the film has already turned a profit for the makers. The Taj Story marks another win at the box office for Paresh Rawal as his other release Thamma has also been doing good business at the ticket window. But both the films will be facing stiff competition Friday onwards with the release of De De Pyaar De 2 with Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, R Madhavan and Meezaan Jaafri along with Kaantha starring Dulquer Salmaan, Rana Daggubati and Bhagyashri Borse.
