‘The Raja Saab’ BO day 26: Film falls to just Rs 1 lakh

'The Raja Saab' box office collections day 26: Prabhas film falls to just Rs 1 lakh

Prabhas’s ‘The Raja Saab’ is nearing the end of its theatrical run, with box office collections plummeting to just Rs 1 lakh on day 26. Despite a massive budget and high expectations, the film’s worldwide gross stands at Rs 208.36 crore. Audiences and critics are pointing to a lack of vision and poor direction as key reasons for its underperformance.

‘The Raja Saab’ has now reached day 26 at the box office and the numbers are almost gone. The Prabhas starrer made only Rs 1 lakh on day 26. Many people online said the film is now at the end of its run and it will not show any real numbers from the next day onwards.

Overall box office is far below hopes

The film had a big budget and came with high expectations, but the final numbers are not strong. The worldwide collection stands at Rs 208.36 crore as reported by the Sacnilk website. The India net collection is Rs 146.01 crore and the India gross is Rs 174.11 crore. The overseas collection reached Rs 34.25 crore. In Telugu, the film also did not hold well. The Telugu net box office total is Rs 120.08 crore. The numbers from the last few days dropped a lot. Day 26 was Rs 1 lakh. Day 25 was Rs 25 lakhs. Day 24 was Rs 30 lakhs and day 23 was Rs 27 lakhs. The drop was steady every day.The Kannada net was Rs 39 lakhs. Day 10, day 9 and day 8 all showed only Rs 1 lakh each.

Fans speak openly about what went wrong

Many people on social media shared what they felt about the film. The talk online was mixed but mostly not good. One person wrote, “While the cast delivers commendable performances, they are unfortunately trapped on a sinking ship. The film suffers from a profound lack of vision, feeling less like a cohesive story and more like a cluttered ‘greatest hits’ collection of concepts the creators liked but couldn’t integrate.”The same person also said the direction was the biggest problem. They wrote, “The direction is the primary culprit; without a clear ‘map,’ the narrative wanders into a series of confusing scenes exacerbated by jarring, amateurish editing. To make matters worse, the visual effects feel dated and ‘basic,’ failing to provide the spectacle the genre demands.”Another viewer shared an even stronger opinion. They wrote, “Worse than Adipurush with terrible VFX and CGI.”This person also explained that they had high hopes. They wrote, “Like many other fans I eagerly waited for the release of The Raja Saab with so many expectations. I personally didn’t enjoy Kalki 2898 AD, therefore Salaar was the last movie of Prabhas that I heartfully enjoyed.”They added that The Raja Saab felt even worse than Adipurush. “I thought Adipurush would be the worst movie of Prabhas like nightmare, but ironically The Raja Saab overtook it with pathetic storyline, terrible direction and awful editing. Performance wise, the entire casts did exactly what they were directed, hence no complaint on it.”

A tough phase for the film and the team

The film stars Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar, and is directed by Maruthi. Even with such a strong cast, the response stayed low.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from diverse public and industry sources.
