The final chapter of The Boys now has a confirmed release calendar. Prime Video has revealed the full rollout plan for Season 5, which will conclude the long-running superhero satire. The streaming service will debut the first two episodes together on April 8, 2026, before shifting to a weekly schedule for the remaining six episodes. The announcement gives fans a clear look at when every instalment of the eight-episode season will arrive.

‘The Boys’ Season 5 release schedule and premiere date

Prime Video shared the episode rollout through its official social media channels. As confirmed through the platform’s announcement, the first two episodes of The Boys Season 5 will launch together on April 8. The remaining episodes will arrive weekly every Wednesday until the finale on May 20.The show’s official account teased the upcoming season with a message on X that read, “One month until shit hits the fan. According to the official synopsis, Homelander now holds power across the country while resistance groups attempt to fight back.The synopsis says Homelander rules America through fascist terror and sends dissenters to Freedom Camps. As his grip tightens, Butcher, Hughie, Annie, and the rest of The Boys launch a last-ditch fight to bring down his tyrannical regime.The final season also brings back much of the core cast, including Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, and Chace Crawford. Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, and Nathan Mitchell are also set to return.The series comes from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, along with other production partners.Creator Eric Kripke previously explained why he chose to end the show after five seasons. In comments cited by Deadline, he said, “I would speculate that I was trained on five acts as a television writer.
