Thamma BO day 14: Film crosses Rs 120 crore mark

Thamma box office day 14: Ayushmann Khurrana-Nawazuddin Siddiqui film crosses Rs 120 crore mark

Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Thamma’ has crossed the Rs 120 crore mark despite a recent dip in daily collections, earning Rs 1.50 crore on its 14th day. The film performed strongly over its second weekend. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna shared her fearless approach to portraying her complex role, crediting the director for blending romance and horror effectively.

Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, registered yet another dip on second Monday. However, it successfully crossed Rs 120 crore mark.

Box office performance

According to the latest update from Sacnilk, Thamma earned Rs 1.50 crore on its 14th day, marking its lowest single-day collection so far. This dip isn’t surprising, as Mondays usually see lower numbers. The film’s total collection now stands at Rs 121.80 crore.

Week-wise collection breakdown

The film collected Rs 108.4 crore in its first week [Hindi: Rs 107.52 crore; Telugu: Rs 0.88 crore]. It continued to perform well over the second weekend, earning over Rs 4 crore on both Saturday and Sunday. It now remains to be seen if Thamma can maintain this momentum through the weekdays.

Rashmika on preparing for her role

Replying to a fan who asked how she prepared for her role in Thamma to blend romance and horror without it feeling over-the-top, Rashmika said, “That credit definitely goes to my director.. but I’ll take the credit for walking into the set fearless and with any baggage.”She said in an interview with Pinkvilla,“It’s a completely new world. It’s got a lot of performance. As an actor, emotionally and physically, doing all the crazy things is another thing and I get to do it and I think I manifested ‘Thamma’ into her life.”The actor emphasized how the role allowed her to explore a different dimension of performance where there is a mix of horror, emotion, and physicality in ways she hadn’t experienced before.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
