'Thaai Kizhavi' box office collections day 12: Radhika Sarathkumar starrer stays steady; earns Rs 45.36 cr gross

Radhikaa Sarathkumar’s ‘Thaai Kizhavi’ is enjoying a strong theatrical run, raking in Rs 45.36 crore worldwide by Day 12. The rural comedy-drama saw a significant boost over its second weekend, with Sunday collections reaching Rs 5 crore. The film is slated for an OTT release on JioHotstar by March 2026.

The rural comedy drama ‘Thaai Kizhavi’, starring Radhikaa Sarathkumar in the lead role continues its steady run at the box office. The film has shown consistent performance even during its second week in theatres.According to figures reported by Sacnilk the film has collected Rs 45.36 crore in gross collections worldwide by Day 12. The total net collection currently stands at Rs 39.64 crore across multiple regions.

Day 12 box office performance

On its 12th day in theatres which fell on the second Tuesday, the film added Rs 1.79 crore to its total net collection.The movie was screened in 1,180 shows on that day across various regions. The overall average occupancy stood at 19.2%.The entire Day 12 revenue came from the Tamil version of the film. The language-wise breakdown shows that the Tamil release contributed the full Rs 1.79 crore collection with 19.2% occupancy across 1,180 shows.

Strong weekend boost for the film

Before the Day 12 numbers the film had already witnessed a strong weekend performance. On Day 11 (second Monday) the movie collected Rs 2.45 crore net from 1,278 shows with an average occupancy of 20.3%.The film saw its biggest boost during Day 10 (second Sunday). On that day ‘Thaai Kizhavi’ earned Rs 5 crore net and the Sunday performance also recorded a 36% average occupancy.

OTT release expected soon

Even as the film continues its theatrical run, the streaming rights for Thaai Kizhavi have been acquired by the popular platform JioHotstar.According to the reports the film is expected to make its digital debut by the last weekend of March 2026.As reported by Filmi Beat, if the current plans remain unchanged, the film could start streaming around Friday, March 17, 2026, approximately a month after its theatrical release.The OTT version is expected to be available in five languages that include the original Tamil version along with dubbed versions in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.Radhikaa Sarathkumar plays the titular character Thaai Kizhavi, also known as Pavunuthayi, in the film. The project has been directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, who also wrote the screenplay and supporting cast includes actors such as Singampuli, Arul Doss, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, Muthukumar and Raichal Rabecca.The music for the film has been composed by Nivas K Prasanna, while cinematography is handled by Vivek Vijayakumar.
