‘Tere Ishk Mein’ box office collection day 8

‘Tere Ishk Mein’ box office collection day 8: Kriti Sanon and Dhanush’s romantic drama collects only Rs 3.65 crore, faces tough competition from Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’

Kriti Sanon and Dhanush’s romantic drama ‘Tere Ishk Mein’, which released in cinemas on 28 November 2025, enjoyed a strong opening week at the domestic box office. The film crossed Rs 80 crore in its first seven days, showing that audiences were drawn to its emotional story and performances. But as the film entered its second week, the box office scene changed with the arrival of Ranveer Singh’s new release ‘Dhurandhar’. The fresh buzz and strong pull of ‘Dhurandhar’ have created tough competition for the romantic drama. Here is a detailed look at how ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ performed on day 8.

‘Tere Ishk Mein’ box office collection day 8

The collection of ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ dropped sharply on day 8. As per early estimates from Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 3.65 crore on its second Friday. This is the film’s lowest single-day figure, as it had not fallen below Rs 5 crore on any day since its release.

Day-wise India net collection

Day 1 [1st Friday] Rs 16 croreDay 2 [1st Saturday] Rs 17 croreDay 3 [1st Sunday] Rs 19 croreDay 4 [1st Monday] Rs 8.75 croreDay 5 [1st Tuesday] Rs 10.25 croreDay 6 [1st Wednesday] Rs 6.85 croreDay 7 [1st Thursday] Rs 5.8 croreWeek 1 total Rs 83.65 croreDay 8 [2nd Friday] Rs 3.65 croreTotal Rs 87.30 crore

‘Dhurandhar’ may further affect the film’s second week

One major reason behind the fall is Ranveer Singh’s new film ‘Dhurandhar’. As reported by Sacnilk, the film collected over Rs 25 crore on its opening day. With such a strong start, ‘Dhurandhar’ has grabbed audience attention and pulled large crowds to cinemas. This has naturally reduced the footfall for ‘Tere Ishk Mein’, making the second week more challenging for the romantic drama.

Film moves closer to Rs 100 crore

Before the second Friday drop, the film seemed to be smoothly moving towards the Rs 100 crore mark. With a total of Rs 87.30 crore at the end of day 8, the target is not far away. However, the film now needs strong weekend growth to stay on track. If collections rise on Saturday and Sunday, ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ can continue its journey with confidence. But with ‘Dhurandhar’ performing strongly, the competition is much tougher now.

Kriti Sanon responds to the audience love

As the film continues its box office run, Kriti Sanon shared her thoughts on the response it has received. Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said, “It’s extremely overwhelming. The film has received so much love. I, as an actor, have received so much love. It’s rare for a film to get great reviews, critical acclaim for performances, and strong box office numbers. I’m getting all of it at the same time. I couldn’t have asked for more.”

‘Tere Ishk Mein’ review

The Times of India rated the film 2.5 out of 5 stars and highlighted concerns about the writing and pace. The review states, “At a little under three hours, the movie feels overlong, and the pacing remains uneven across many portions. The writing is also riddled with inconsistencies and contradictions. For a psychologist with a PhD, Mukti is oddly manipulative and unable to handle Shankar’s intense emotions, despite repeatedly insisting she knows exactly how to deal with him. A disillusioned and aggressive lover casually walking into an IAS and Joint Secretary’s home with petrol bombs and what relatives assume is acid simply doesn’t add up. There is also a random sequence featuring a pandit (Zeeshan Ayub Mohammad) punning on Lord Shiva and “mukti”, which appears completely out of place and without context. A love triangle and Mukti’s alcohol addiction in the second half further add to the convoluted plot.” Go to Source
