The intense romantic drama made Rs 16 crore on the opening day, thus, further being a testament to the fact that love stories have worked this year, starting with ‘Saiyaara’ followed by ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’. With a number of Rs 16 crore, ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ became the second highest opening love story of the year after the Mohit Suri film starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, which had made in the range of Rs 20-21 crore.Tere Ishk Mein Movie ReviewOn Saturday, it saw a growth of only Rs 1 crore at the box office and made Rs 17 crore. On Sunday, it grew further and made Rs 19 crore. The Tamil version of the film has made much lesser. Trade experts have complained that despite the presence of a big Tamil star like Dhanush, there’s not been a proper release of the Tamil version in the south regions. On Monday, some drop is expected. Up till afternoon, ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ has begun on a slow note and made Rs 1.71 crore. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 53.71 crore. The film faced a hurdle on Saturday because growth at the major multiplex chains remained modest—an area that usually drives the day’s momentum. However, Sunday brought a turnaround. With the day leaning heavily on mass belts, the movie surged once again, as regions like CPCI, Rajasthan, Bihar and Gujarat delivered notable jumps, with several centres recording increases of over 30%. Taken as a whole, the weekend numbers are outstanding, positioning the film firmly as a success. Now, it only needs steady weekday performance to become one of the RARE hits of 2025.
