‘Telusu Kada’ box office: Siddhu starrer gets a slow start

‘Telusu Kada’ box office collection day 1: Siddhu Jonnalagadda starrer gets a slow start, promises to peak

The Telugu romantic comedy film ‘Telusu Kada’ starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Raashi Khanna, and Srinidhi Shetty was released in theaters on October 17, 2025. The highly anticipated film had a slow start at the box office. Although the film was eagerly awaited by fans for its fresh approach to the story and the performances of the three lead actors, the opening day collections were modest.

‘Telusu Kada’ peaks during night shows

Based on the box office report from Sacnilk, ‘Telusu Kada’ reportedly collected around Rs 2 crore on its first day. The film had an average occupancy of around 27.92% in theatres. Despite a working day release, the morning shows had an engagement of 23.52%, gradually increasing to 24.75% in the afternoon, 24.42% in the evening, and peaking at 38.99% in the night sessions. This makes it clear that the film’s opening day arrivals were slow, but the nighttime reception was very good.

Word-of-mouth expected to drive growth

Written and directed by Neeraja Kona, ‘Telusu Kada’ has been facing stiff competition from other films releasing on October 17, such as Pradeep Ranganathan’s ‘Dude’ and Dhruv Vikram’s ‘Bison Kaalamaadan’. However, the story’s modern romance approach and the talented performances of the three lead actors have garnered praise from many. Thus, word-of-mouth support is expected to boost the film’s collections in the coming days.

An emotional triangular love story

The story centers on Varun (Siddhu Jonnalagadda), who grew up without parents and is trying to save his family. Varun is depressed when his first love Raaga (Srinithi Shetty) ends their relationship with him. Later, Varun marries Anjali (Raashi Khanna), but both are unhappy because they are unable to have children. Then Raaga returns to Varun’s life, changing Anjali’s life and the characters’ love and relationship plans.
