Taylor Swift shares how Travis set up the engagement surprise

Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce's engagement: 'The Life of a Showgirl' singer reveals how the NFL star set up the surprise

Taylor Swift has released her 12th studio album ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ – and after listening to the tracks, fans can’t help but gush over how NFL star Travis Kelce changed her fate of Ophelia and put a hard rock on her finger. While the newly engaged singer has been promoting the album through interviews and guest appearances on talk shows, the one thing that everyone can’t overlook is the shiny stone on her finger (which she graciously flexes).

Taylor Swift details the whole setup by Travis Kelce

In an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Swift sat alongside Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson, and Lewis Capaldi. The 35-year-old detailed the day she got proposed to by Travis Kelce. When the host asked whether the photos on social media that garnered over 35 million likes were really from the proposal, the singer affirmed and appreciated the Kansas City Chiefs star for the surprise.“He really crushed it when it came to surprising me because we had actually filmed the podcast episode,” she said on the show, adding that they shot for three to four hours. “Meanwhile, behind this house, he was having the whole back garden turned to this [the setup]. One of the things that he put in there very strategically was a wall of hedges that weren’t there before,” she continued. The strategy was used to hide her tour photographer, who clicked the adorable pictures. “He went all out. 10 out of 10,” she concluded.

Travis Kelce knows his fiancée

Meanwhile, in another appearance U.K. radio show Heart Breakfast, Swift recalled how Kelce remembered the jeweler she loved over a year ago before asking her to marry him. The ‘Opalite’ singer said that she didn’t know what she wanted, but somehow he did.Taylor Swift released ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ on October 3, 2025, with 12 tracks.
