In a social media post that has been widely circulated online, the singer was allegedly seen performing at Ahana Raheja and Yash Patel’s wedding in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Did Taylor Swift perform at the Jamnagar wedding?

So did Taylor Swift really was the one in the viral video who performed at the Jamnagar wedding event for Ahana Raheja and Yash Patel’s ceremony? The answer is simply no, Swift was not in India at the time of the video, and after the post went viral, many people pointed out that the woman in the video was a popular social media influencer, Ashley Leechin, who is known for her uncanny resemblance to ‘The Fate of Ophelia’. Ahana Raheja had recently taken to her social media account to share glimpses of her wedding ceremony. In some of the videos, she reshared with the world, she was seen dancing and singing along with a woman who had a similar look to Swift, and was even seen featuring her signature bangs and silver fringe dress. In the videos, Ahana and Leechin were seen standing and dancing side by side as the newly married woman belted out the lyrics to Swift’s most popular song, ‘Love Story. ’

How did the rumors start

The rumors started when the videos from the ceremony were reshared on another social media platform. The post quickly managed to go viral, with many people expressing their shock over the news of the possibility of Swift performing in India. Many fan accounts also posted videos from the event and claimed that it was the ‘Blank Space’ singer who was performing; however, the truth was later debunked as many people pointed out that Swift was not even in India at the time. Many also pointed out that it was Ashley Leechin instead, who is known for looking like the singer. One comment under the post clarified that it was not the singer, citing that “The Sun reported that Taylor is in London.” Another person shared that “Damn it looks like her but definitely not her. She’s a billionaire already, even if she were to perform she usually does acoustic ones in wedding parties from what I’ve seen. This is somebody just impersonating her eras tour persona.”
