Sunjay’s sister Mandhira accuses Priya of ‘rewriting lineage’

Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband Sunjay Kapur’s sister Mandhira accuses Priya Sachdev of 'rewriting lineage' amid dispute over his will, 'Samaira is the daughter, not Safira'

The controversy surrounding late businessman Sunjay Kapur’s will has intensified after his sister, Mandhira Kapur, made strong statements on the InControversial Podcast. Speaking about the legal battle over her brother’s estate, Mandhira alleged that Sunjay’s wife, Priya Sachdev, was attempting to “erase his bloodline” by prioritising her children — Safira and Azarius — in the will over Sunjay’s biological children.During the conversation, Mandhira stressed that Safira, whom Priya had with her former husband Vikram Chatwal, cannot be presented as Sunjay’s daughter. “Safira has been called the daughter (in the will). Samaira is the daughter, not Safira. Safira is the stepdaughter. Her biological father is alive,” she said, referring to Sunjay’s daughter with Karisma Kapoor, Samaira.Mandhira added that while Sunjay cared deeply for Safira, it did not change the factual lineage: “Nobody is denying that my brother cared for Safira. But don’t take over when Samaira is there. Don’t name Safira ‘the daughter.’ She is the stepdaughter. Stop rewriting lineage.”

Will called “suspicious” in court

Mandhira’s remarks come days after senior counsel Mahesh Jethmalani raised doubts before the Delhi High Court on October 13 about the will presented by Priya Kapur. The will reportedly names only Priya and her children, Safira and Azarius, while excluding Sunjay’s biological children, Samaira and Kiaan Kapur. In court, Jethmalani pointed out inconsistencies in the document, including misspelled names and incorrect addresses — details he termed “bloopers.”Echoing the sentiment, Mandhira said, “My brother was a particular human being. You cannot misspell his son’s name. You cannot get his daughter’s address wrong. These are not mistakes; these are giveaways. Just because you’ve been with someone for seven years, you cannot erase normal habits that we have grown up with. Nobody changes so drastically to be another person within seven years. Spelling mistakes, the wrong use of pronouns.”

Sunjay Kapur’s Sister Claims Priya Sachdev Helped Break His Marriage With Karisma

“You have stolen from our family”

In an emotional moment during the podcast, Mandhira accused Priya of trying to wrongfully claim what belongs to Sunjay’s biological children.“You’re depriving the whole family. You have stolen from our family. You have stolen. This is ours. It doesn’t belong to you that you’re claiming it. Like, what have you done? Gotten married? I mean, seriously? Had a child and it’s all yours now. Everyone should get married like this, yeah? Everyone go get married, have a baby, and chalo, it’s all yours!”

Samaira and Kiaan challenge the will

Sunjay Kapur’s children with Karisma Kapoor — Samaira and Kiaan — have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court alleging that the will is “forged and fabricated” with the intention of excluding them from their late father’s estate. After a hearing on November 17, Joint Registrar (Judicial) Gagandeep Jindal issued notices to Priya Kapur and Shradha Suri Marwah, the named executor of the disputed will. Both have been asked to reply within three weeks. The matter is now scheduled for hearing on December 16. Go to Source
