The star couple, twinned in shades of maroon as they made a joint appearance to address the media and tackle rumours that suggest their marriage had hit a rough patch.

Sunita’s statement to the media

In a video shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani, Sunita directly addressed the speculation, lashing out at the media for spreading false news. She said, “Media mein dekh ki kya main aur Govinda saathi mein hai. Jab tak hum muh na khole aap afwah pe mat kuch bola karo. Main chahti hoon ki sab log apna muh band rakhein. Agar mujhe kuch bolna hai na. Agar mujhe kuch aisa lage to main khud muh khol kar bol doongi. (You can clearly see me with Govinda in the media. Until we speak ourselves, please don’t believe in rumours. If I have something to say, I will come forward and say it myself).”

Sunita jokes about divorce rumours

Taking a sharp dig at the separation buzz, she quipped, “Aise sundar biwi milegi kya usko. Main kuch bhi pehenlu na, acha dikhti hu. (Will he ever get such a beautiful wife again? No matter what I wear, I always look good).”

Sunita adds filmy touch to her statement

During Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at their residence the previous day, Sunita once again clarified that her marriage with Govinda remains strong. “Aaj itna close, close… agar kuch hota toh hum itne nazdeek hotey? Humaari dooriyan hoti! Koi hum dono ko alag nahi kar sakta hai, chahe upar se koi aa jaaye bhagwan aa jaaye, koi shaitaan aa jaaye. Koi nahi alag kar sakta hai (Look at how close we are today… if something was wrong, would we be this close? If there was distance, it would show! Nobody can separate us, even if God himself or the devil tries. Nobody can)”Adding a filmy twist to her statement, she added, “Ek picture tha na ‘Mera Pati Sirf Mera Hai’ waise hi mera Govinda sirf mera hi hai aur kisi ka nahi hai. Jab tak hum moonh na khole tab tak aap please aap log koi bhi cheez mein na boliye. Just like the film ‘Mera Pati Sirf Mera Hai,’ my Govinda is only mine and nobody else’s. Until we speak, please don’t say anything).”

Sunita on her weightloss journey

Sunita also mentioned how she consciously worked on her fitness to lose weight. Addressing speculation about her weightloss, she said, “Vlogs bana raha hu to sundar lagna padega. Moti ko dekhenga kaun. (Since we make vlogs, I have to look beautiful. Who would want to see someone overweight?)”Govinda and Sunita have been married for more than three decades and are parents to two children, Tina and Yashvardhan.
