Suniel Shetty follows 1600-calorie diet: Here’s what it includes

Suniel Shetty's 1600-calorie diet: Actor's secret to staying fit at 64 includes protein-packed meals and guilt-free desserts

Suniel Shetty is one of the most fit Bollywood actors, and at 64, he’s proving that age really is just a number. With his salt-and-pepper charm, ripped physique, and boundless energy, Shetty could easily give the younger generation of stars a run for their money. His fitness isn’t the result of fancy diets or extreme routines but a simple, no-nonsense approach to eating right and staying active.Let’s look at his everyday routine, the meals, the mindset and the habits that keep him looking and feeling ageless.

Suniel Shetty follows a protein-rich routine

Speaking on Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath’s podcast in the past, the ‘Dhadkan’ actor shared that his day begins with a protein-heavy breakfast. “Normally for me at home, it’s four egg whites because I don’t like the yellow,” he said. Dairy products do not suit him well, so he avoids them when possible. For lunch and dinner, he includes lean protein such as fish or chicken, around 150 to 200 grams, depending on the meal. In total, his daily food intake comes to about 1,600 to 1,700 calories, enough to support his workouts and daily activity without overeating.

Suniel Shetty maintains balance with sugar and salt

Unlike many who completely cut sugar from their diets, the ‘Mohra’ actor believes in moderation. “Yes, I do because I don’t believe in the substitute for sugar. For me, it’s either my fruit or my sugar,” he shared. His day includes one cup of tea in the morning and another in the evening, both enjoyed without guilt. When it comes to salt, the ‘Main Hoon Na’ actor prefers to keep things natural. He keeps it minimal in cooking but adds a pinch on top if needed. “No pink salt for me, regular salt for me,” he said, showing that he likes to keep his diet simple and fuss-free.

Suniel Shetty enjoys dessert with discipline

Even with his strict routine, Shetty doesn’t skip life’s little pleasures. “I love my fruit. I love my dessert. And if you tell me no dessert after food, I’d go crazy,” he admitted. His love for sweets is balanced by his portion control and early dinners. The actor usually finishes eating by 7 p.m., giving his body time to digest and rest before bed. This mix of discipline and small indulgences keeps his diet realistic and sustainable, a lifestyle he can follow for the long term rather than a short-term diet trend.

Suniel Shetty on the work front

On the professional side, Suniel Shetty is gearing up for some exciting projects. He will soon be seen in Ahmed Khan’s comedy-drama ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, alongside Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Lara Dutta, Disha Patani and Raveena Tandon. He will also reunite with Akshay Kumar for the highly anticipated ‘Hera Pheri 3’, directed by Priyadarshan.Disclaimer: This article is meant only to share information and should not replace professional medical advice.
