Suniel Shetty known for movies like ‘Mohra’, ‘Border’, ‘Dhadkan’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, has not only dabbed into a variety of genres on screen, but he has also extended himself to more beyond movies. He’s a successful entrepreneur and is estimated to have a net worth of reportedly Rs 125 crore, and according to ET retail, the actor has invested in several businesses from food delivery and tech ecosystem, with stakes in many companies. While Suniel is one of the most successful businessmen, in a recent interview he has opened up on how he to make sure the investments are growing. He said it’s important to take care of your investments like a baby. During a conversation with GQ India, when the host referred to him as a jack of all trades, Suniel Shetty smiled and said, “Dabbling in a lot of different things works in today’s age. As an actor, earlier there was only real estate which you could invest in. Anything else you tried to do and you didn’t take care of it wouldn’t work. If you don’t take care of your baby, it won’t react the way you want it to. With this new generation and the overall startup universe, you get the opportunity to work with great founders. If I back the right person, I know that I am secure.”
Sharing insight into how he approaches his investments, Suniel added, “I usually focus on just one aspect. Be it marketing, or getting the brand up there and giving it visibility, getting them the media help that they require. But other than that, I don’t want to interfere because I don’t know anything. I am not only looking for unicorns; anybody who is successful and knows that they have to bring food home at the end of the day is attractive to me. For me it’s intent over ideas, people over presentation, and asking ‘why?’ instead of ‘what?’ I am not necessarily looking at evaluation, and I try to value the relationship with the person and their vision.”On movie front, Suniel is gearing up for the shoot of ‘Hera Pheri 3’. The film has been in the news for a while now, for several reasons but fans are waiting anxiously to see him back as Shyam from the film along with Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar who play Baburao and Raju respectively.
