Studio officials call out Blake Lively’s haircare launch timings

Blake Lively’s haircare launch criticized by studio executives; New emails REVEAL, 'She wouldn’t listen’

In a shocking turn of events, intercepted emails expose studio executives expressing severe doubts about Blake Lively’s future in Hollywood after the fallout from the ‘It Ends With Us’ debacle. VP Sanford Panitch labeled her as ‘unhirable’ and dismissed her haircare venture as ‘monumentally misguided.’ Meanwhile, Tom Rothman voiced concerns about the scandal’s overshadowing impact on the film’s success.

As Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal proceedings continue, new email messages sent by a high-level studio executive have been unveiled. Reportedly, these documents shared that a production company’s VP, Sanford Panitch, had talked to someone about Blake Lively. The emails were sent around August 2024, around the same time that the film was released and allegations against Baldoni came to light.

Studio executive criticizes Blake Lively in old emails

According to People, VP Sanford Panitch had sent emails to other high-level officers in the firm, indirectly discussing Blake Lively’s matter. His emails revealed that he talked about Lively’s career in Hollywood and how she is planning on leaving it behind her.His texts read, “It’s quite ironic because she has a huge hit movie headed to $300M-plus, and probably will never work again, or not for a while. Although even Hathaway recovered. Tom thinks she’s probably and bizarrely unhirable right now.” In response, another high-level official who has not yet been named replied by saying that the ‘Another Simple Favor’ actress is going to be fine and that the situation will pass. Panitch replied by disagreeing with the statement, saying “She is done for. At least for a while. It’s cooked.”

He calls out Blake Lively’s haircare brand promo and launch

Lively had launched her own haircare brand around the same time as the controversy surrounding ‘It Ends With Us’ had started. Panitch’s emails also revealed that he had called her out on several occasions for her decision to launch the business at such a time. In his emails, he had called the idol’s actions “epic-level stupid.” He had said, “She wouldn’t listen, she knows better.”Another executive, Tom Rothman, had also stated in the text about how he feels the controversy is going to affect the film. “The mess is the story now, and it will define the film. No one can watch the film the same way. Tragic,” he wrote. In some of the other texts and emails revealed in the court documents related to the ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star’s case, actress Jenny Slate has called Justin Baldoni a “narcissist.”
