With Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday this weekend, fans are reportedly pouring into the city to be a part of the celebrations. One lucky fan who made the long journey to Mumbai got a chance to put in a rather bold request to the birthday boy himself.

SRK tells fan he is living on let him stay in Mannat

Shah Rukh, on Thursday, hosted an #AskSRK session on X, which brought in a flood of tweets from fans asking his questions, varying from his film ‘King’ to his personal life and even his B-town friends. One fan in particular grabbed eyeballs for his rather bold question. The fan posted, “Sir, apke birthday ke liye Mumbai pahaunch gaye he… lekin room ni mil rahi. Mannat pe ek room milega kya sir?” In true SRK style, the actor responded with trademark wit and humour, replying, “Mannat mein toh mere paas bhi room nahi hai aaj kal… Bhaade pe reh raha hoon!!!”

Mannat under renovation

According to reports, Shah Rukh is currently renting two luxury duplex apartments in Mumbai’s Pali Hill area. The actor has reportedly shelled out over Rs 2.9 crore per year, or roughly Rs 24.15 lakh per month for the spaces that will serve as a temporary residence as his iconic sea-facing bungalow gets a renovation. The actor will reportedly be living on rent for around 3 years, till work on his home is complete.

SRK to make appearance at Mannat on birthday

Amid conflicting reports about the possibility of Khan keeping up with tradition and making an appearance at the Mannat gates on his birthday, the actor responded to a fan comment. When asked, “Sir, iss baar Mannat pe fans ko greet karne aaoge?” He replied, “Of course, but I may have to wear a hard hat!!!”

SRK to celebrate birthday in Alibaug

Meanwhile, reports doing the rounds state that the actor is also planning to celebrate his 60th birthday at his Alibaug farmhouse with family and close friends.In other news, fans of the actor have a lot to look forward to, this weekend as a bunch of his films will be re-released in selected cinemas to mark the occasion of his birthday.
