While the series offers a fresh look into Bollywood’s chaotic and glamorous world, the spotlight shone brightest on the emotional father-son camaraderie and memorable reunion between Shah Rukh Khan and Bobby Deol.

Shah Rukh recalls Bobby Deol’s debut

SRK fondly recalled Bobby’s 1995 debut in Barsaat with Twinkle Khanna, describing how he had never seen anyone so striking. He remembered Bobby standing in blue sunglasses before the film’s release and admitted feeling inspired, which drew applause from the audience.He added that since then, they became close friends. Bobby is one of the few actors who has stood by him through both happy and difficult times. SRK praised him as a genuine superstar, noting that they celebrate each other’s successes and have always supported one another.The event grew emotional when Bobby joined SRK on stage, and the two shared a heartfelt hug.

Bobby reflects on Aryan’s milestone

Bobby Deol reflected on the day’s significance, saying August 20 will always be special for him. He recalled seeing Aryan grow from a little boy into a confident young man ready to take his first steps in the industry, describing the moment as magical and surreal.Bobby Deol shared how he joined the project, recalling that Red Chillies called him about Aryan’s show, and he agreed immediately. Aryan still narrated the script personally, and Bobby spent nearly seven hours listening, impressed by the young director’s conviction and passion.

Parenting and industry struggles

Bobby Deol reflected on the challenges of being a parent in the film industry, saying he felt proud seeing young talent succeed, but also anxious, knowing firsthand the struggles and obstacles one faces to make it in Bollywood.Bobby Deol praised Aryan Khan’s direction, noting that the project’s impact goes beyond being associated with Aryan or Shah Rukh Khan. He highlighted Aryan’s ability to push actors, extract outstanding performances, and bring the soul of the story to life, making the series a truly remarkable venture.The Ba**ds Of Bollywood will begin streaming on Netflix from September 18.
