Khan also shared his unusual sleep schedule, often sleeping at 5 AM. He is preparing for his upcoming film King, which features a star-studded cast.

Shah Rukh Khan once revealed that he prefers simple food despite his stardom. He also shared that he has been sticking to the same basic meals for years as part of his disciplined lifestyle.

‘I don’t like fancy foods,’ says Shah Rukh

In conversation with RJ Devanggana, Shah Rukh said, “I naturally prefer very simple food. I eat two meals a day: lunch and dinner. I eat nothing apart from these two meals. Mujhe pakwan pasand nahi (I don’t like fancy foods). I eat sprouts, grilled chicken, broccoli, sometimes a little bit of dal. This is all I have been eating repeatedly on a daily basis for several years.”Elaborating further, SRK added, “I don’t diet. It’s just my personal choice to eat light and clean. If I am travelling, in a plane, or visiting friends and family for dinner or lunch, I eat everything they have to offer — be it biryani, roti, paratha, ghee, lassi. I eat anything that they offer.”

His unusual sleep schedule

Further, the superstar spoke about his sleep pattern during extended working hours. “I go to sleep at five in the morning. When Mark Wahlberg gets up, I go off to sleep. And then I wake up about nine or ten if I am shooting. But then I will come home at two a.m., take a bath and then work out before I go to sleep. It was just how I preferred to live,” he concluded.Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s King. It also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan and others.
