In between hectic shoot schedules, Shah Rukh Khan, squeezed in time for a bit of business as he attended a glamorous real-estate event in the city. Dressed to impress and showing off his lighter hairdo, SRK took to the stage and quipped, “Me Eid ka chand sa ho gaya hu bahar kum aata hu, lekin jab ata hu, toe kamal ka aata hu (I’ve become like the Eid moon — I rarely come out, but when I do, I make it special.)”

Shah Rukh says his mother would be proud of him

With this launch, Shah Rukh became the first Indian actor to have a tower named after him, an honour he does not take lightly. Speaking at the event, Khan said, “My mother would be very happy. It is a very big honour,” he said.He went on to add, “When my kids come, I will say, ‘Papa ka naam likha hai, dekho.’”

About the project

Speaking about the project, Khan shared, “I have seen all the details of this building for the past two months. It is state-of-the-art and affordable. For people who are starting off in Dubai, it will be a moment and an inspiration to make their lives.”

SRK gets groovy

The actor also ensured those at the event were treated to something more entertaining. Videos from the event, saw SRK taking over the stage and leading the choreography to his iconic dance number ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’. In true SRK style, he got into the groove and encouraged the other guests on-stage, including Farah Khan to join in the choreography. According to reports, a tower bearing the actor’s name, is currently in the works. The building is a 56-floor development project and is expected to be completed within the next three to four years.

SRK’s next movie ‘King’

This appearance comes just a week after the actor got together with fans to celebrate his 60th birthday. To mark the milestone birthday, the actor also unveiled the first look teaser of the upcoming film ‘King’. The movie will see him starring alogside daughter Suhana Khan for the first time. He will also be seen reuniting with a host of other stars, including Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan and many others. Go to Source
