Actress Sreeleela and Indian cricketer Tilak Varma have been in the middle of relationship rumours for the past few days. Many posts on social media claimed that both of them were seeing each other. The rumours spread quickly and became a big topic online.

Sreeleela’s mother reacts to rumours

Now, Sreeleela’s mother Dr. Swarnalatha, has reacted strongly and cleared the air about these rumours. She said all the reports linking Sreeleela and Tilak Varma are completely false. She clearly said there is no truth in any of the stories being shared online. As per a report by Deccan Chronicle, Dr. Swarnalatha said, “These rumours are absolutely false and have no truth in them. We do not know how such stories emerge.” She also said, “There is not even an iota of truth in reports claiming that Sreeleela and Tilak Varma have been seeing each other for the past year. It is purely a figment of imagination.”According to her, people on social media are creating stories from simple situations that have no connection at all. She felt it was unfair to spread such rumours without facts.

Temple visit and cricket match sparked speculation

The rumours became stronger after a few incidents caught public attention. During the Vaikuntha Ekadashi celebrations in December 2025, Sreeleela visited the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple with her mother. Around the same time, Tilak Varma was also reportedly there with his family.Later, another moment during a T20 World Cup match at Wankhede Stadium added more gossip online. Sreeleela attended the match, and people noticed that someone from her team was allegedly wearing a jersey connected to Tilak Varma. Dr. Swarnalatha said both incidents were only coincidences and nothing else.

Actress currently focused on studies and films

Sreeleela’s mother said the actress is now fully focused on her studies and film career. She shared that Sreeleela is preparing for her NEET-PG examination scheduled in June.“She is preparing for her NEET-PG examination scheduled in June. Right now, her concentration is entirely on studies and films,” she said.Dr. Swarnalatha also mentioned that Sreeleela was earlier linked with Kartik Aaryan after they started working together in director Anurag Basu’s upcoming film. She said those rumours were also baseless.

Sreeleela taking a short break before next film

She finally added that Sreeleela is taking a small break before signing her next movie and is waiting for good roles.
