Sonam showcases her baby bump in a black Banarasi saree

Sonam Kapoor, pregnant with her second child, showcases baby bump in a black Banarasi saree as she dazzles at Mumbai event

Sonam Kapoor once again proved why she remains one of Bollywood’s most influential fashion icons. The actor made a stunning appearance at the Swadesh store in Mumbai on Friday, where she proudly flaunted her second pregnancy in a striking black saree with bold borders. The event celebrated the holiday season, Indian craftsmanship, and the stories that define the country’s rich heritage.Styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor, Sonam arrived looking radiant as she posed for photographers. Sharing pictures of the look on Instagram, Rhea wrote, “@sonamkapoor wears a @swadesh_online weave in collaboration with @abujanisandeepkhosla.”

Designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla also shared details of Sonam’s ensemble.“Sonam Kapoor enamours in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla — a celebration of heritage in all its glory, her ensemble is a maximal wonder in black and gold,” they wrote. The designers revealed that Sonam wore a black and gold Banarasi saree handwoven by Swadesh artisans, adorned with a beige-gold and silver zardozi border—an elegant fusion of craftsmanship and grandeur.

Sonam announced pregnancy with a bold hot pink look

Sonam had earlier confirmed her second pregnancy with another stylish look—this time a vintage hot pink skirt suit, reminiscent of Princess Diana’s iconic fashion. Dressed in a matching blazer and skirt, she captioned the post simply: “MOTHER,” followed by a kiss emoji. Apart from the baby on the way, Sonam and her husband Anand Ahuja are parents to their three-year-old son, Vayu, whom they welcomed in 2022.
