Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend Somy Ali wishes Salim Khan speedy recovery, calls him ‘a father figure’: 'His hospitalization made my heart sink'

As veteran screenwriter Salim Khan remains admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Lilavati Hospital, Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend Somy Ali has shared an emotional note wishing him a speedy recovery.Taking to Instagram, Somy spoke about the time she lived in his home and how he treated her like a daughter. She wrote, “Hearing that Salim Khan has been hospitalized made my heart sink.To the world, he is a legendary writer who helped shape icons like Amitabh Bachchan and co-created masterpieces like Sholay. To me, he was a father figure.Living in his home, I was treated like a daughter, included at the table, engaged in deep conversations about faith, where all religions were respected and celebrated. He taught me that God is bigger than doctrine, and that storytelling must always carry truth beneath the drama.His brilliance built cinematic history. His humanity built people.Praying for his strength and recovery. Hospital statement on his condition

According to a statement issued by the hospital and shared by Dr Jalil Parkar, “Salim Khan was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital under Dr Jalil Parkar in the ICU at 8.30 am on Tuesday morning. He was brought into the emergency by their family doctor, prompting emergency care. Salim Khan was later shifted to the intensive care.”“He is stable but is under close observation in regards to his clinical status,” the statement added.A team of specialists — Dr Vinay Chavan (neurologist), Dr Ajit Menon (cardiologist), Dr Nitin Dange (neurosurgeon) and Dr Bineet Ahluwalia — attended to the 90-year-old following his hospitalisation.

Press briefing likely

Lilavati Hospital has informed that a press briefing regarding Salim Khan’s health condition will be held on Wednesday, February 18, subject to the consent of the family, while strictly maintaining patient confidentiality. The exact medical reason behind his hospitalisation has not been officially disclosed by the family. Further updates are awaited.
