Smriti-Palaash wedding postponed: Choreographer breaks silence

Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal wedding postponed: Choreographer Gulnaaz Khan breaks silence, 'False claims about me and my friend Nandika Dwivedi'

The postponement of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palaash Muchhal’s wedding has sparked widespread rumours online, including unfounded allegations involving choreographers Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz Khan. Addressing the speculation, Gulnaaz has issued a clear denial.

Gulnaaz’s clarification

Taking to Instagram Stories, Gulnaaz wrote, “I’ve been noticing a lot of speculation and false claims going around about Me & My Friend Nandika, so I want to clear this straight that we are not the people involved in this issue. Just because we know someone socially or have a photo with them doesn’t mean we are connected to their personal matters. Please let’s keep things respectful and not jump to conclusions. We appreciate your understanding and support.”

Medical emergencies halt wedding

The wedding, scheduled for November 23 in Sangli, was put on hold after Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, experienced heart attack–like symptoms and was rushed to Sarvhit Hospital. He was discharged on November 24, with doctors confirming his condition is stable and angiography showing no blockages, according to India TV.A day later, Palaash Muchhal was also hospitalised after experiencing chest pain, breathlessness and uneasiness. Doctors later clarified that his episode was triggered by stress, not a major cardiac issue.Palaash’s cousin Neeti Tak urged people not to jump to conclusions, writing, “Palaash is going through a critical condition today, you all should not judge Palash as wrong without knowing the truth… pray for him.”

Wedding postponed at Palaash’s request

According to Palaash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, it was Palaash who insisted on postponing the ceremony after Shrinivas fell ill. Despite the haldi being completed, he refused to move ahead with the rituals. The emotional stress left him in tears before he was admitted for observation. His sister, singer Palak Muchhal, visited him at the hospital.Amita also noted that Shrinivas had been dancing and posting on Instagram just a day earlier. Following the incident, Smriti and her bridesmaids removed all wedding photos from their social media accounts.

Families to set a new date soon

In a new interview with Hindustan Times, Amita said both Smriti and Palash are struggling emotionally but the wedding will take place soon. “Smriti and Palaash dono takleef mein hain… Palaash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome. Everything will be fine, shaadi bahut jaldi hogi.” Go to Source
