Silambarasan-Vetri Maaran’s ‘Arasan’ to begin shoot on THIS date

'Arasan' clears barrier; Silambarasan's dates locked, Vetri Maaran's directorial to begin shoot on THIS date

Silambarasan’s ‘Arasan’, directed by Vetrimaaran, has finally commenced shooting on December 8th after initial delays. Restrictions on the actor’s schedule were lifted following direct negotiations with Vels Films International, ensuring production can now proceed at full speed. The mega project also features Vijay Sethupathi and Andrea, with music by Anirudh.

Silambarasan’s much-anticipated film ‘Arasan’, directed by Vetrimaaran, has regained momentum. Vetri Maaran earlier confirmed that the shooting of ‘Arasan’ will commence on November 28 during the promotions of ‘Mask’. But the film failed to hit the floors, and it raised questions over the project.

Vels’ hold on Silambarasan’s schedule had initially stalled filming plans

As per the latest report from The Hindu, the restrictions regarding Silambarasan’s dates have been lifted, and the shooting of ‘Arasan’ officially begins on December 8. Although the shooting was initially scheduled to begin in November, Silambarasan locking his date with Vels Films International made the film unable to move forward with the production due to the actor’s sudden cancellation of the previously signed project. Due to the lack of concrete information on when the film could begin production, the crew was forced to temporarily halt production. Subsequently, direct negotiations were held between Simbu and the company, and important decisions were made.

Negotiation ends with clear conditions

During this negotiation, the production house presented clear conditions. They should immediately inform when Silambarasan’s next dates will be available, or rather, the condition is that the advance amount received from Vels Film International before the film directed by Ashwath Marimuthu must be returned with interest. The production schedule could be severely affected, so one of these two solutions was reportedly needed as an immediate solution. Once Silambarasan agreed to this, the obstacles to the production of ‘Arasan’ were removed.

With barriers cleared, ‘Arasan’ begins shoot on December 8

This has given a clear assurance that there is no problem on Vels’ side for the shooting of ‘Arasan’ to commence. As a result, production work is being resumed at full speed. Set work, date arrangements, and cast and crew schedules have all been hastily coordinated. Following this, the fact that filming will begin with a clap on December 8th has created new excitement among the fans.Directed by Vetri Maaran, ‘Arasan’ stars Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi and Andrea in pivotal roles. This mega project, which will have music by Anirudh Ravichander, is set in parallel with Vetri Maaran’s 2018 film ‘Vada Chennai’. Since the shooting is planned to be completed in one phase, the entire team has embarked on intensive planning. Go to Source
