Sidharth Malhotra, promoting Param Sundari, recounted surprising Shanaya Kapoor on her 13th birthday after a mistaken text during Student of the Year filming. Karan Johar orchestrated the surprise, while Varun Dhawan opted out, knowing Shanaya’s preference. Inayat Verma shared her classmates’ fascination with celebrities she’s met, especially Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth.

Sidharth Malhotra, who recently graced The Kapil Sharma Show to promote his film Param Sundari, shared an anecdote from the sets of Student Of The Year. He recalled receiving a birthday text, thinking it was for Sanjay Kapoor, only to realize it was Shanaya’s, prompting him to visit her home and make her special day unforgettable.

Sidharth’s surprise for Shanaya

Sanjay shared that on Shanaya’s 13th birthday, Sidharth Malhotra, who was then filming Student of the Year, was sent by Karan Johar as a surprise gift. Sidharth recalled receiving a text about a birthday and initially thinking it was Sanjay’s, only to find out it was Shanaya’s, prompting him to visit her house. Sanjay added that Karan had also invited Varun Dhawan, but Varun declined, saying Shanaya was a fan of Sidharth.

Inayat Verma on classmates starstruck by celebrities

The 13-year-old actor Inayat Verma shared a lighthearted moment on the show. She revealed that her classmates often get starstruck by the celebrities she has met. When Kapil Sharma asked if any teachers had requested to visit the set while she was shooting with Sidharth, Inayat confirmed they had, hoping to click pictures with him. She also mentioned that her classmates are especially curious about Janhvi and Sidharth’s personalities.
