Siddhant Chaturvedi has exciting projects coming up, including the much-awaited biopic on legendary filmmaker ‘V. Shantaram’. Fans are thrilled as the makers have finally revealed Siddhant’s first look from the film. The announcement poster shows him as V. Shantaram, one of India’s most iconic filmmakers. The biographical drama is written and directed by Abhijeet Shirish Deshpande.Siddhant Chaturvedi stated, “Portraying V. Shantaram ji is one of the greatest honours of my life. The more I read about his journey, the more humbled I felt. He wasn’t just a pioneer of Indian and global cinema, he was a visionary who kept pushing forward no matter the obstacles. Stepping into his world has been my most transformative experience as an actor. His life moved me deeply and reminded me of the power of perseverance. It’s a lesson I hope to hold close, both in my work and in every moment of my life.” Adding more to the conversation, the actor said, “Portraying V. Shantaram ji is one of the greatest honours of my life. The more I read about his journey, the more humbled I felt. After the poster was out, several fans praised the actor’s first look and penned, “Siddhanth Bhai Aap boht Gajab lag Rahe ho”, another one commented, “Best wishes for this Sid bhai! I just know you’ll kill it. Love how you are exploring different genres.”

V. Shantaram’s work journey

He is remembered as one of India’s greatest filmmakers, known for classics like ‘Do Aankhen Barah Haath’, ‘Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje’, and ‘Navrang’. He was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1985, the highest recognition in Indian cinema.Known lovingly as Annasaheb, Shantaram was married three times, first to Vimla, then to actress Jayashree (with whom he had two children), and later to Sandhya. In total, he had seven children. He passed away in Mumbai on October 30, 1990. The film has been written and directed by Abhijeet Shirish Deshpande.
