Through his note he expressed deep love and gratitude for her presence in his life.Sharing a throwback photo of Alka, Shekhar wrote about how their love continues to remain ethereal and unbreakable even after decades of marriage.He captioned the post, “My love story with Alka continues; it’s an ethereal, eternal love story. I realised it when I met her for the first time, that she was the most extraordinary woman I’d ever met, different from the rest of the world. She is angelic, vulnerable, shy, demure, soft-spoken, dignified, talented, and of course unimaginably pretty. One word for the lady: breathtaking. Jaane bahar tum kisi shayar ka khwab ho, muah! I love you till death do us part.”

A love story that began in college
Shekhar and Alka’s love story traces back to their college days in Delhi, where the two met and formed a close bond that soon blossomed into love. The couple tied the knot in 1983 in an intimate ceremony attended by family and close friends.The couple had two sons — Ayush and Adhyayan Suman. They lost their elder son, Ayush, in a tragic accident — a loss that Shekhar has described as an unfillable void.
