Shankar’s next will be an action thriller with THIS hero

Not 'Velpari,' Shankar’s next will be an action thriller with THIS hero

Ace filmmaker S. Shankar is getting ready to direct his long-awaited dream project based on the famous novel ‘Velpari,’ written by Su Venkatesan. The director had earlier confirmed that he acquired the film rights for the novel and plans to make it a grand three-part film series. Known for creating visually rich and large-scale movies, Shankar reportedly considers ‘Velpari’ one of the most important projects in his career. The historical novel has a huge fan base, and the announcement has already created strong excitement among cinema lovers and readers.

Pre-production work begins for big-budget film

According to The Hindu, the pre-production work for ‘Velpari’ has already started. Shankar and his team are currently focusing on research, screenplay planning, and visual design for the ambitious project. Sources say the preparation work itself may take nearly a year before the shooting officially begins. Since the story is set in a historical backdrop, the makers are expected to spend a lot of time on set design, costumes, and world-building. Fans are eager to know who will be part of the cast and technical team, but the makers have yet to make any official announcement regarding the same.

Director to make an action thriller Before ‘Velpari’

Before starting work on the historical drama, Shankar is reportedly planning to direct a quick action thriller with a young hero. Interestingly, the film is said to be completely different from his usual grand commercial style. The upcoming project is expected to focus more on intense action and fast-paced storytelling. Reports suggest that talks are currently happening with two young actors for the lead role. The filmmaker reportedly wants to complete this movie quickly before fully concentrating on the large-scale ‘Velpari’ project.

Official announcement on Shankar’s next expected soon

As per reports, Shankar is planning to announce his next film very soon. Fans are curious to see the director explore a fresh style after delivering several visually grand films over the years. The temporary shift to an action thriller has also increased expectations among audiences. On the other hand, interest in ‘Velpari’ is rising daily due to the project’s significance. As both films progress, cinegoers are eagerly waiting for an announcement from Shankar.
